The first domestically developed LSC system for 10,000m³-class LNG carriers supported by SMDERI QET, successfully completed all factory inspections and performance tests under the witness of surveyors from the China Classification Society (CCS), shipowners, and shipyards. The key technical indicators have reached globally advanced levels.
The LNG Sub-cooling system（LSC）independently developed by SMDERI QET has the advantages of stability and high efficiency, safety and reliability, and long-term free maintenance. The core equipment ‘compression and expansion unit’ has independent intellectual property rights in the design of fluid machinery, development of high-speed motors and bearings, ultra-low-temperature material processing and the whole processing and manufacturing of the machine. The device has been verified by performance prototype, engineering prototype, multi-component refrigeration medium, and multi-stage tests under real LNG working conditions. Its main technical indexes have reached the international advanced level, and it will be awarded the first Classification Society Certificate of Onboard LNG Sub-Cooling system in China in 2023.
