At the recently concluded 25th China International Industrial Fair (CIIF 2025), SMDERI-QET's Onboard Carbon Capture and Storage System (OCCS) was honored with the "CIIF Green and Low-Carbon Award." Recognized for its robust technological strength, the system represents a crucial piece in completing the carbon neutrality puzzle.

To tackle maritime GHG emissions, SMDERI-QET has developed a high-efficiency, low-energy compact OCCS, drawing on its extensive experience in gas-liquid contact, scrubber design, and low-energy adaptive control. The system enables up to 80% overall carbon reduction. A landmark full-process system for a 14000 TEU vessel was delivered in January 2024 after sea trials, with another for an 82,000 DWT newbuild slated for imminent delivery.
Looking ahead to a green future, SMDERI-QET will continue to pioneer new technologies, processes, and solutions for energy-efficient and eco-friendly shipping, driving the industry's high-quality green transition.
