On September 29th, under the witness of shipowners, shipyards, classification societies, engine manufacturers, and WinGD, SMDERI QET has successfully completed the machinery inspection declaration of the first set of Intelligent Control by Exhaust Recycling (9X92DF-2.0 iCER). The equipment will subsequently be installed on the 16,000 TEU LNG dual-fuel container ship.
Within the limited time, SMDERI QET team overcame the challenges of installation and commissioning, and closely cooperated with the engine manufacturer. Through the night and day efforts, it only took 9 days to complete the project from the construction of the stand to the successful inspection, and all the projects of commissioning and inspection were passed at one time.
The system can adjust the ratio of air to exhaust gas to control the oxygen content in the scavenge air. While effectively controlling greenhouse gas emissions, it significantly improves fuel efficiency, thereby enhancing the stability, economy, and environmental friendliness of the main engine operation. At the same time, it achieves the goal of meeting Tier III emission standards in both gas mode and iCER fuel mode.
