Upgraded Cooperation | SMDERI QET and DAIHATSU Signed Cooperation Agreement

On Nov. 28, 2024, SMDERI QET signed a cooperation agreement with DAIHATSU.
According to the agreement, the two sides will focus on key products of marine environmental protection equipment, uphold the concept of win-win cooperation, fully integrate the advantageous resources and professional capabilities of both sides, further develop in-depth cooperation in the field of methanol fuel, methane degassing, etc., to explore the green future of the new fuel supply system and emission control products, and to join hands to respond to the new challenges and opportunities brought by climate change, and to assist the sustainable development of the shipping industry.
Since SMDERI supplied the first SCR to Daihatsu in Japan in 2021, the two sides have been maintaining efficient communication and in-depth cooperation. Up to now, SMDERI QET has supplied more than 500 sets of SCR systems to DAIHATSU, covering its mainstream marine models and certified by CCS, ABS, LR, DNV, BV, NK and other classification societies, which has continued to enhance the supporting capacity and market competitiveness of both parties in meeting the requirements of emission regulations and promoting the green upgrading and transformation.
During this period, the group of DAIHATSU visited SCR test stand of methanol machine and catalyst development laboratory of SMDERI QET, and both parties exchanged and discussed the technical principle, operation mode, module function, practical demonstration and application prospect of the whole set of system, and expressed their full confidence on the subsequent cooperation in the research and development of the key diesel supporting products such as the emerging fuel supply system.
