First LNG Inert Gas Generator Successfully Accepted

On March 29th, the domestically developed first LNG Inert Gas Generator system by SMDERI QET successfully completed the system performance and stability tests, passing the expert group’s acceptance successfully.
The equipment developed by SMDERI QET is the first domestic LNG inert gas generator based on shipboard inert gas system technology, with independent intellectual property rights. It has successively broken through key technologies such as low-oxygen combustion technology of fuel oil, integrated high-efficiency spray technology, and variable temperature adsorption deep drying technology. It can produce inert gas with low oxygen content (<1%), low dew point (<-45°C), and low carbon monoxide (<100ppm), providing full-cycle purge inert gas that meets safety and usage standards for the inertization of LNG cargo tanks.It effectively prevents combustion or explosion accidents on LNG transport ships, and has the advantages of being stable and efficient, safe and reliable, and maintenance-free for a long term.
The equipment has now obtained classification society approval and has successfully passed the acceptance organized by China state shipbuilding corporation(CSSC). It signifies that SMDERI QET has acquired the capability to design, produce, and manufacture LNG inert gas generators, establishing an LNG inert gas generator equipment system.
