SCR Partnership Expansion! SMDERI-QET successfully delivered the first Everllence B&W main engine High-Pressure SCR system for Duokai Diesel Engine.

On June 24, at the engine testbed workshop of Duokai Diesel Engine (Jingjiang) Co., Ltd., the Everllence B&W 6S40ME-C9.5-HPSCR main engine, equipped with a high-pressure SCR system developed by Shanghai QiYao Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. (SMDERI-QET), a subsidiary of CSSC, was successfully delivered under the joint witness of the Jingjiang Municipal Government, shipowners, shipyards, and leading classification societies. This project marks Duokai Diesel’s first marine low-speed diesel engine integrated with a high-pressure SCR system.
The marine high-pressure SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system independently developed by SMDERI-QET has been successfully integrated into the Duokai diesel marine low-speed engine project, meeting the IMO Tier III emission standards. Leveraging extensive practical experience in applications and proven integration expertise with Everllence main engines, the project team optimized the system design to overcome spatial constraints and challenges related to the transportation of large-scale reactors. Comprehensive bench testing was conducted to ensure a one-time, high-quality delivery. Test results demonstrated outstanding system performance, significantly exceeding the requirements of relevant laws and regulations, with nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions reduced by over 85% at full engine load. This achievement highlights SMDERI-QET’s industry-leading position and technical expertise in the marine SCR sector, earning strong recognition from clients.
SMDERI-QET has signed agreements with Duokai Diesel Engine for the supply of more than 40 sets of high-pressure SCR systems for marine applications. As of now,SMDERI-QET has received cumulative orders for over 1,600 SCR units. This commissioning ceremony marks a new starting point in the deepening of strategic cooperation between the two parties and serves as a tangible step toward jointly advancing the global transition to green shipping. For over a decade, SMDERI-QET has been consistently dedicated to the field of marine energy efficiency and environmental protection, continuously increasing investment in technological R&D and expanding its portfolio of products and services. The company has gradually extended its capabilities to encompass both emission aftertreatment systems and fuel supply solutions. This enables SMDERI-QET to offer tailored, vessel-specific environmental equipment solutions that support the maritime industry’s sustainable transformation and green development goals.
