SMDERI-QET Successfully Completes Performance Test for 93,000 m³ VLAC Nitrogen Gas System

Recently, the first VLAC ship nitrogen gas system independently developed by SMDERI-QET, a subsidiary of CSSC, has successfully passed the performance test and was accepted by the shipyard and shipowner. All technical indicators have met the expected requirements. The equipment will subsequently be installed on Jiangnan Shipyard’s 93,000 m³ VLAC, supporting the green shipping.
The Nitrogen Gas System (NGS) is an essential component of new fuel supply systems, providing fuel supply pipeline purging, main engine purging, and fuel tank pressure maintenance during navigation. The nitrogen gas system independently developed by SMDERI-QET can continuously generate nitrogen with low oxygen content (<3%) and low dew point (<-60°C), offering advantages such as high efficiency, stability, safety, reliability, and long-term maintenance-free operation. Based on a standardized product family architecture, it can also be flexibly customized according to client requirements. The successful development of this nitrogen gas system marks a further improvement in SMDERI-QET’s product portfolio in the field of new fuel supply systems.
